Enjoy a Luxurious Lunch that Celebrates the Flavors of Each Season!
When you are in the mood for a little luxury at lunch, look no further than Chisou
Asagi. This
delightful restaurant is run by a chef who previously managed a Japanese restaurant in Osaka
specializing in a la carte dishes. Here, you can enjoy a diverse selection of lunch options that
highlight the best of traditional kaiseki cuisine—a multi-course Japanese meal that
emphasizes
seasonal ingredients, beautiful presentation, and a balanced progression of flavors. Featuring
classics like tempura and sashimi, and with six menu items that change monthly, you will find
plenty of reasons to come back again and again.
A Heartfelt Journey to Nostalgia—A Homecoming for the Soul

Inside the restaurant, you will find a counter table that evokes nostalgia from the previous
establishment.
In the back, a traditional tatami room once welcomed local kindergarten children and their teachers for tea ceremony practice.
The white and brown tones throughout create a space that enhances the special nature of the dishes while surrounding you in a warm, familiar atmosphere.

A Treasure Chest of Fresh Seasonal Ingredients!

The true delight of the Omakase Lunch Menu is the variety of dishes that change
monthly,
featuring abundant seasonal ingredients. One of August's featured items is
Okratororo
(Okra and Grated Yam). Lovingly cultivated okra pairs exquisitely with bonito flakes,
offering a refreshing taste with a subtle hint of spice.

Interview with the manager

Where does the name Chisou Asagi
come from?

The idea behind “Chisou” is to offer dishes that, while not quite a
feast, are a
bit challenging to prepare at home.
The name drops the “Go” from Gochisou (meaning feast).
Additionally, the Senshu region is famous for its onions.
My fascination with colors—especially the beautiful shades of asagi (light blue-green) and moegi (fresh green)—also inspired me to choose “Asagi” for the name.

How would you describe Chisou Asagi
in one
word?

I hope this becomes a place that offers healing and
comfort
to our guests.
Perhaps this desire comes from my own need for healing.

Message to customers!

I hope our customers stay lively and healthy for years to
come.
Japanese cuisine is not only nutritious but also visually stunning,
and I would love to pass it down to younger generations.
It would bring me joy if you could come and enjoy traditional
Japanese flavors that are often difficult to recreate at home.
