TANE. The owner’s commitment to offering something fresh and different
with each visit shines through, with ingredients and flavors thoughtfully adjusted each
season.
What exciting creations will they serve up this month? Be sure to visit and enjoy!
A Warm and Inviting Renovated Eatery!

Motivated by the owner’s wish to repurpose the town’s valuable assets, a former sweater factory
has been transformed into this spacious and welcoming restaurant with the help of a carpenter
friend.
The handmade tables throughout the expansive interior naturally evoke warmth and a sense of relaxation, inviting guests to unwind and feel at home.

A Healthy and Satisfying Appetizer

This hassun features an abundance of seasonal Senshu vegetables, presenting a
strong
sense of the season. Eight vibrant and healthy small dishes are artfully arranged,
offering a rich variety that makes it hard to decide where to start. With so many
flavors to enjoy, this hassun provides a full sense of satisfaction.

A Seasonal Favorite that Changes with the Times!

Since the restaurant’s opening, Renkon Manju (Lotus Root Dumpling) has been a
highly
popular dish. Crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, it is filled with a carefully
crafted seasonal filling that changes throughout the year. The combination of a fragrant
dashi-based sauce—a traditional Japanese broth—and the seasonal toppings reflects the
owner’s strong commitment to quality. One of the charms of this dish is that you can
enjoy a different flavor each season.
Note: You can choose one of three main dishes, which may rotate every few months.

Interview with the manager

What inspired you to open the restaurant?

While Kishiwada is well-known for its Danjiri Festival,
there’s so much more charm here waiting to be discovered!
Senshu vegetables are one of those hidden gems.
In the Senshu area, where local agriculture thrives,
a wide variety of vegetables are grown year-round,
and they’re as impressive as the renowned Kyoto and Kaga vegetables.
I wanted to showcase the beauty of Senshu produce,
and that passion drove me to open this restaurant!

What has made you happiest since opening the
restaurant?

I’m so glad that by staying true to our vision,
we’ve seen more and more customers come through word of mouth.
Many customers even peek into the kitchen to say,
“That was delicious! Thank you”
—it happens quite often, and it really touches me.
